Quiddity means “the quality that makes a thing what it is, or the essential nature of a thing.” It crystalizes what I am trying to do, make quality wines that display the essential nature of their grape varietals.  Also, in retiring from my corporate job and starting this winery in Woodinville, I wanted to get much closer to the essential nature of life and what is truly important to me.  Things that I have found important in my life include friends, family, love, hard work, adventure, travel, learning, creativity, food, and wine (to name a few). I have tried to reflect this essential nature of life in naming the wines and everything I do at Quiddity Wines.
